What to expect on your first visit

A short walk through what actually happens when you come in for the first time, from the conversation at the start to walking back out.

Most people arrive at a wellness clinic not entirely sure what they’ve signed up for. That’s completely normal, and it’s why the first thing we do is talk rather than book you into anything.

The conversation comes first

Your first appointment starts with a proper conversation about what’s brought you in — the thing that’s actually bothering you, what you’ve already tried, and what you’re hoping to get out of it. We’ll ask about your health history and any medication you take, because several of our treatments aren’t suitable in particular circumstances and we’d rather find that out now than on the day.

Some people come in with a specific goal: recovering from an injury, sleeping better, getting through a training block. Others just know they don’t feel right. Both are fine starting points.

Where a plan usually starts

If you’re not sure where to begin, BioResonance testing is where a lot of people start. It’s non-invasive, takes 60 to 90 minutes, and gives us a picture to talk through together rather than a diagnosis.

If you already know what you want — a session in the salt room, or a course of hyperbaric oxygen — you can book that directly. Not everyone needs an assessment first.

What we won’t do

We won’t recommend a treatment that isn’t right for you just because it’s on the list. If what you’ve described would be better served by seeing your GP, we’ll say so. And we’ll be straight about where the evidence for something is strong and where it’s thin.

Practical things

Wear something comfortable. Saunas and red light involve undressing to some degree, and towels are provided; PEMF, Reiki, the massage bed and bioresonance are all done fully clothed. There’s on-street parking directly outside, and we’re in the Railway Quarter of Gateshead, at 9-11 Wellington Street, right next to the High Level Bridge.

If you’ve got a question before you come in, just call. We’d rather spend ten minutes on the phone than have you book the wrong session.

Beyond the reading

Try it for yourself

Reading about a therapy only gets you so far. Book a session, or talk to us about your pain points and we’ll advise which one works for you.
